Personally, my taste in Art tends towards vivid, bright colours, clear lines and Abstracts. I adore Mixed Media Art Journaling and Gelli Plate Printing Art, with their often wild colours, patterns and word text.
Having said that, I really admire those talented artists who, with just a few splashes of watercolour paint, and even fewer minimal strokes of a brush, are able to conjure up entire landscapes that not only feed the imagination but make it run wild. How is it possible that 3 lines and a splodge of colour can instantly transport me back to Spain, to the sugarcube pueblos of the Costa del Sol? How can some vertical lines and a scattering of red dots and green flashes make me believe I’m looking at a forest of berry-laden trees?
Hats off to these talented people! I have a Pinterest Board titled “Inspiring Art”, from which the following images have been curated. For more information on any of these paintings, head to my Pinterest page and click on the image you’re interested in. You will be whisked off by the Pinterest fairy to the original website or link to that particular artist.
Enjoy your weekend! 😊
