Thor and his sister Rambo (renamed Ruby later) came to the Refuge with their father Ezra, in the latter part of last year. Ezra was soon adopted, handsome fellow that he was, and Thor and Ruby followed suit not long after.
Ruby was returned a short while later, for being too timid. She was a beautiful girl, and in no time at all she was adopted again. I wrote about Ruby as part of my ISCP Diploma in Canine Psychology coursework.
Over a month ago, I was most surprised to see Thor returned to the Refuge. To put it mildly, he’d had a disagreement with a cat. Enough details already! So Thor came back and it was decided he couldn’t be rehomed with anyone who had cats.
Thor is just about the handsomest Siberian Husky cross you’ll find. I’m not sure what other breeds make up his genetic code, perhaps Staffordshire Bull Terrier? We had another Husky x last year, by the name of Elton, and he looked very similar indeed to Thor. Except that Thor has the most amazing eyes…they’ve been called David Bowie eyes, as you’ll see in the photos that follow.
Thor has very recently been adopted. His new owner is a Volunteer at the Refuge, so in a sense Thor is very much still in the family. I’m so glad and happy for Thor and his new Dad, they both deserve to be happy.
